A few words about Cilene
Cilene was born in Recife, in Brazil. From a very young age, she discovered yoga, a practice she has never left since and that guides her every day. Her journey begins in Brazil, where she trained in massage techniques and worked in a hospital environment. Her first experiences gave her a taste for guiding others, with the body as a sanctuary for listening and healing. She then left Brazil for Madeira and built a new life. On the island, she quickly found work in hotels as a masseuse. She continues to train herself, broadening her skills to better address her patients' needs.
Now, she is also an Air Yoga teacher and a hypnotherapist. In 2019, she founded a unique event in Madeira: the Madeira International Yoga Festival.
What is "AIR YOGA" ?
It's a practice that blends several disciplines: Hatha yoga, gymnastics, dance, Pilates and aerial arts. It is practiced while suspended in a very soft fabric, playing with gravity, exploring space and flowing through a series of movements. The fabric supports the body, allowing the spine to gently stretch out and preserving the joints. A free yet playful approach to move, feel and find a sense of wonder.
What is "INTEGRAL YOGA"?
Integral yoga was developed by Sri Aurobindo. This concept seeks balance, harmony and unity within oneself, considering every aspect of the human being: physical, vital, mental, psychic and spiritual. The practice is a combination of a sequence of postures, breathing techniques, deep relaxation and meditation.
