Ayurvedic center in central Kerala
This Ayurvedic massage training in India takes place at the Ashram Amrita Bindhu clinic, a unique place where well-being and Indian tradition blend harmoniously with modern comfort.
Located in the heart of Kerala, nicknamed “God's Own Country”, this center benefits from an exceptional natural setting, between lush forests, crystal-clear beaches and peaceful canals.
This region is also renowned for its Ayurvedic therapies, recognized for their benefits on the body and mind.
The center is also home to Swami Ekarshi Sarva Atma Mithra, a yoga teacher specializing in the study of sacred texts. A former family home, the place preserves the imprint of its history with portraits of his parents, offering a warm and authentic atmosphere.
Designed as a true cocoon within Indian life, the Ayurvedic center invites renewal and spiritual exploration. Evenings around the fire pit become moments of sharing and conviviality under the starry sky.
On the culinary side, fresh, seasonal vegetarian meals are carefully prepared, showcasing the authentic flavors of Keralan cuisine while remaining mildly spiced. Filtered, boiled water is available 24/7, and it is recommended to avoid outside consumption for your well-being.
This stay offers you a unique moment of serenity and reconnection with yourself, in a space dedicated to your balance and well-being. Accustomed to welcoming European visitors, this center ensures a safe experience, allowing you to fully enjoy Ayurvedic massage training.
Sarva Atma : the center's founder
Guru Nitya Chaitanya Yati is the master of Sarva Atma. He named him Ekarshi Sarva Atma Mithra, meaning the singular path, friend of the world. He is a yoga teacher specializing in the study of sacred texts such as the Samkhya, the Yoga Sutras, the Upanishads, and the Bhagavat Gita.
In India, a Guru is what we call a shamanic therapist or healer in the West. His way of working is to actively go to the root of suffering to remove it. "Gu" means darkness or ignorance of one's true identity, "ru" means to remove, to clear. A Guru leads the person toward light, toward awareness, and toward self-knowledge.
The teachings of Ekarshi Sarva Atma Mithra, your guide during this certified Ayurvedic massage training, are part of the lineage (parampara in Sanskrit) of the Advaita Vedanta school of thought (non-duality) of Aadi Sankara, Guru Narayana, Guru Nataraja and Guru Nitya Chaitanya Yati. This tradition is based on a fundamental principle: the quest for individual happiness must always contribute to the happiness of others.
The instructors of this wellness stay
Our instructors are Indian doctors specializing in Ayurveda, not just teachers, which means their teaching methods can vary from time to time. That's why we carefully select a doctor who can adapt to the students' pace, while also taking into account the language barrier and the differences between Ayurveda and allopathic medicine.
To facilitate learning, the classes are translated by David, a trained Abhyanga massage instructor, because even in English, some concepts can be difficult to grasp. We carefully adjust the explanations and take the time to clarify concepts so that everyone can not only understand, but also fully integrate the teachings.
The goal is not to leave with a notebook full of notes, but with a true understanding and maturation of knowledge, both intellectually and spiritually.
