Treat yourself to a unique sound journey during this singing workshop, where voice and rhythm become gateways to self-exploration and connection with others.
Inspired by world musical traditions and contemporary practices, this workshop offers a lively and intuitive approach to singing and improvisation. Through the vibration of sounds, collective playing, and deep listening, let your natural musicality emerge and discover the joy of singing freely.
Beginners or experienced musicians, come share this immersive experience where each voice finds its place and each moment becomes melody.
Please note that meals for this singing workshop are vegetarian. Vegan meals are included with prior notice. Gluten-free diets may require a supplement, as may other special diets.
A singing workshop in the great outdoors just 1 hour from Paris
On the edge of the Dourdan Forest, the Domaine de Bel-Air is a 19th-century residence nestled in the heart of a vast wooded park. This peaceful setting, surrounded by century-old trees and lulled by birdsong, offers an ideal setting for musical and vocal immersion.
With its eight spacious and comfortable rooms, the château offers a welcoming and rejuvenating stay. The vast interior spaces, ideal for sound experimentation, and the inspiring and soothing surrounding nature create the perfect conditions for freely exploring your voice.
Forests, bucolic trails, and silent clearings become natural resonators where you can sing, listen, and fully experience the vibration of sound. It is in this harmonious atmosphere that we invite you to experience a singing workshop where breath, rhythm, and musicality meet as close as possible to nature.
The themes of the singing workshop
During this weekend, up to 6 hours of practice per day will be devoted to the following topics. These topics will be covered to varying degrees depending on the group's desires and needs.
- Position the voice and breath through relaxation, awakening to sensations, opening attention, and knowing one's body
- Immerse yourself in sacred chants from various traditions: Gregorian, Hildegard of Bingen, Judeo-Spanish, Italian, Arabic...
- Confidently dissolve the fear of improvising, the fear of creating, of expressing yourself
- Improvise a cappella and to the rhythm
- Marrying rhythms and voice
- Developing vocal timbres
- Discover the game of bendir (frame drum)
- Open listening to harmonics, to silence…
- Exercises with a “trans-traditional” approach: call/response, canon, rhythm, etc., anchored in musical traditions, but free from their limitations.

Accessibility of the Domaine de Bel-Air
Domaine de Bel-Air is located 44 km southwest of Paris, at 29 Rue de Rouillon, 91410 Dourdan. To get there by car, take the A10 motorway.
By transport from Paris (recommended routes):
Dourdan SNCF train station is just a 7-minute walk from the estate. Your Navigo all-zone pass allows you to reach this station.
- Option 1: RER C towards Dourdan (approximately 1 hour from Bibliothèque François Mitterrand).
- Option 2: RER B towards Massy Palaiseau, then take the express bus 91.03 towards Dourdan.
- Option 3: TER towards Dourdan from Gare d'Austerlitz (approximately 45 minutes). Note that there are only 5 TER trains per day on weekdays.
Remember to check your train ticket times against the bus times and find out about any potential problems on these lines.
As the area is vast, we invite you to contact your singing teacher upon arrival at the gate. A WhatsApp group will be set up to facilitate communication.
Once there, take the path that leads to the castle. Unless otherwise stated (very early arrival, contraindications from us, etc.), a member of our team will always be there to welcome you.
If you are coming by car, we recommend that you contact us in advance to let you know about available parking options.

We offer early bird rates until May 25th. After this date, standard rates apply to this singing workshop.

Standard rates :
- 440€ per person in a double room with shared bathroom
